Pull this short trench on over jeans and a tee, and the whole outfit looks finished in one move. A ruffled stand-up collar and checkered roll-cuffs add two unexpected details that turn a casual layer into a pulled-together look.
- Collar: A stand-up ruffled collar holds its shape upright and frames the face, or folds down for a softer look.
- Cuffs: Roll the sleeves back to reveal a plaid lining that keeps its crease through the day.
- Fit: A relaxed, slightly loose cut skims the body instead of clinging, so it layers easily over a sweater.
- Length: A short, hip-grazing hem keeps the silhouette light instead of bulky.
- Closure: A button front with functional pockets keeps the look clean and practical.
- Fabric feel: Smooth woven polyester holds its shape and layers without feeling heavy.
